It rained almost all last weekend – but not late Saturday afternoon, October 3, when three-dozen Woodgate folks gathered for our annual outdoors chili supper.
Everyone brought their favorite chili, we dumped it in a big pot and it was wonderful. It was true chili weather - not raining, but damp, although not unpleasantly so.
Salads, terrific deserts, FSU’s surprising domination of Virginia in football and Bingo for prizes rounded out the chili experience.
WNA did sponsor a program – a briefing on Amendment 3, increasing the homestead exemption on non-school property taxes, by Sam Wagoner from the Florida League of Cities. And there was one piece of official business – completing the nominating committee for 2027 Woodgate Neighborhood Association officers.
Next up is the October 24 Children’s Halloween Party and November 21 holiday model trains and food drive. Watch the Woodgate- Tallahassee.com Internet site and Mailchimp WNA President’s Emails for details.
It’s great to live in Woodgate!
